Question 1

What is EmailSlicer?

Accepted Answer

EmailSlicer is a workflow for turning email designs into Klaviyo-ready campaigns. Slice and optimize a design in the browser or Figma, assign links and alt text to the slices, and either upload the images or create a complete Klaviyo template from them.

Question 2

Why should I slice my email images?

Accepted Answer

Splitting a design lets each section have its own link and alt text. Compression can reduce image download size. Slicing does not guarantee inbox placement or prevent Gmail clipping, which depends on the email HTML size.

Question 3

How does the Klaviyo integration work?

Accepted Answer

Connect a Klaviyo account in Client Manager, choose it after processing, then either upload the selected slices to its image library or create a complete template. A complete template stacks the selected slices in order at a maximum width of 600px, uses the link and alt text assigned to each slice, and includes Klaviyo’s unsubscribe tag.

Question 4

What image formats are supported?

Accepted Answer

EmailSlicer accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF uploads. You can export slices as JPEG, PNG, or WebP; for broad email-client compatibility, JPEG or PNG are the recommended choices for Klaviyo emails.

Question 5

Is there a Figma plugin?

Accepted Answer

Yes! EmailSlicer has a Figma plugin that lets you export frames directly from your Figma designs into the slicing tool. This streamlines the workflow from design to live Klaviyo campaign — ideal for product launches, seasonal promotions, and DTC brand teams.

Question 6

What are the plan limits?

Accepted Answer

The Free plan gives you 1 use per day with no Klaviyo integration. Pro ($49/year) includes unlimited uses, unlimited Klaviyo accounts, multi-client management, and priority support. Perpetual ($69 one-time) includes everything in Pro with lifetime access and no recurring fees.

Question 7

Can I adjust where the slices happen?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After uploading your image, you can drag the slice lines in the preview to position them exactly where you want. You can also change the number of slices from 2 up to 10.

Question 8

Can I add links and alt text to a complete Klaviyo template?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Before creating a template, you can assign a destination URL and alt text to every slice. Each linked slice becomes a clickable image in the generated template. The template also includes a required Klaviyo unsubscribe link at the bottom.

Question 9

What does the Chrome extension do?

Accepted Answer

The EmailSlicer Chrome extension lets you capture the Gmail message you have opened and chosen as a PNG or standalone HTML file. With a Pro or Perpetual plan, you can also send a capture to your EmailSlicer account and import it into Figma.

Question 10

Does the Chrome extension read my Gmail inbox?

Accepted Answer

No. It only accesses the currently opened Gmail message when you actively request a capture. It does not scan your inbox, read messages in the background, or use captured content for advertising or profiling.

Question 11

What happens to my images and email captures?

Accepted Answer

Standard image slicing and compression happen locally in your browser. Chrome captures remain on your device for local preview or download unless you choose to send one to Figma. That optional transfer sends the rendered capture and basic email metadata to your authenticated EmailSlicer account so it can be imported into Figma. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
